Mixed climbing takes rock and ice climbing to their illogical limits. Musashi humourously documents Will Gadd and Ben Firth's first ascent of the world's most difficult mixed climb, located in an icy cave in the Canadian Rockies.

Modern mixed climbing is evolving at a rapid rate; leashless ice tools and one-piece boot / crampon combinations are all part of the new game. Gadd calls modern mixed climbing 'really gymnastic, complicated, and incredibly entertaining free aid climbing'.
