Raid (extreme back country expedition skiing) represents the most intense way to live winter in the mountains. This film tells about the ski traverse of 2005 of the Hispar and Biafo glaciers in Karakoram.
It follows Marc Breuil and his team, who had already achieved a successful traverse through this area in 1990.
The narration develops through the parallels of these two journeys, looking for the differences, but also for the trace of the common thread that binds all Raid skiers and particularly those who have come before. We all leave tracks, but those in stone, although akin to those left by skis in the snow, are resistant to the passing of time so the team seek their inner tracks.
